Regulations for Highland Dancing

Dancing will conform to S.O.B.H.D. rules. The decisions of the Judge are final.

  • Age is computed as of day before competition.
  • Cash awards for the 2 oldest premier section, medals for all others.
  • Trophy for most points in each class except primary.
  • Dancer of the Day Trophy will be based on aggregate points.  There will be a dance off in the case of a tie.
  • Age groups will be split according to entries received.
  • All dancers must show 2010 registration card at time of registration.
  • Entries received on or before Wednesday April 21st will be emailed a welcome letter.
  • No registrations will be accepted on the field.
  • Entry fees: $1.00 from each entry to go towards FUSTA Eastern Region.

Again this year tickets will be checked at the gate. Only the competing dancer receives a complimentary ticket. Any siblings, chaperones, or parents need to purchase an advance sale ticket. If you do not purchase advance sale tickets you will need to buy a ticket at the gate.

All Festival Competition Participants must bring a signed 'Hold Harmless Agreement' on the day of the event. Children under the age of 18 years must have a parent or guardian sign a 'Hold Harmless Agreement'. Completed registration (by a participant, parent, or guardian over the age of 18) will constitute implied acceptance of the contents of this document.
